About Me | Ariel García
Leader, Conservationist, and Multidisciplinary Athlete in Galápagos
Hello! I’m Ariel García. Born on August 8, 1995, and raised on Isabela Island, I grew up in a unique corner of the world where nature dictates the rules. From a very young age, I knew my life would be defined by leadership, the ocean, and a deep responsibility to protect the extraordinary ecosystem that witnessed my upbringing.
Today, I combine over a decade of experience in international tourism with my passion for environmental conservation and high-performance sports.
🛠️ What I Bring to the Table: Core Expertise
🗺️ Tourism Management & Leadership (Since Age 17)
Having entered the tourism industry at just 17 years old, I have developed a critical skill: the ability to make strategic decisions under high-pressure and high-stress situations. I know how to lead teams with composure, solve complex problems on the fly, and deliver world-class experiences. Furthermore, being fluent in English and German allows me to communicate seamlessly and break cultural barriers with international travelers and global organizations.
🐢 Active Conservation in Galápagos
For me, protecting the wildlife and natural habitats of the islands is not a hobby; it is a duty. I am an active conservationist who fights for a common good and a just cause: preserving the delicate balance of this paradise. I am deeply passionate about sharing my firsthand experiences of island life to educate, inspire, and create global awareness.
🏋️♂️ Discipline & High-Performance Athletics
Sports are the driving force behind my focus, mental toughness, and resilience. My athletic journey is built on versatility:
-
Combat Sports: Extensive training and background in Taekwondo, Boxing, and Kickboxing.
-
Strength & Endurance: Active athlete in Olympic Weightlifting and long-distance running (personal record of 27 km in 3 hours and 30 minutes).
-
Connection to the Ocean: An avid swimmer and surfer. The scent of the sea is what truly makes me feel at home.
🤝 Why Connect or Collaborate With Me?
“Leadership is not about being in charge; it is about taking care of those in your charge and the environment that surrounds you.”
Whether managing teams within a company, leading expeditions, or driving sustainability initiatives in Galápagos, I bring an athlete’s discipline, a global mindset, and an unwavering commitment to excellence.
